What we look at
We cannot check every claim, so we choose those that matter most: claims that are spreading widely, that are made by people in power, or that could cause real harm if people believe them. We check facts, not opinions.
What happens next
Every submission is read by a person. If we check the claim, we publish our verdict (True, Misleading, False or Unproven) with the evidence, following our fact-checking methodology. You do not need to give your name. If you leave a way to reach you, we may ask you for more details.
