Data is where we publish the records behind our journalism: politicians, institutions, elections, government spending, procurement, corruption cases and human rights cases, organised so that anyone can follow the power and the money.

How our data is built

Every dataset is collected from official records, Right to Information requests and public datasets, cleaned, checked by a second person, and published with notes on its sources, its date and its limits. The full process is in our data methodology.

Labels, not guesses

Entries in our databases separate verified fact, allegation, court finding and claim. We never present one as another. See our methodology.

Open data

We share data openly wherever the law and safety allow. Details are on our data methodology page and in the notes attached to each dataset.
